I like the idea. Our developers are working on creating recurring actions inside of eProductivity, and although I’m not sure if it would cause programming headaches, I think a “Create Project from Template” makes a lot of sense. I’ll make sure they see your post. :-)

Of course, what you are asking for is already available in Lotus Connections. Check out the “Activities” component. One of the great use cases for Activities is exactly what you are referring to here.
